Guignard et Dignard du Canada/Québec
Que je sache, À L'ÉCHELLE MONDIALE, chez les Dignard tous sont roturiers au sens du dictionnaire Le Petit Robert : personne qui n'est pas née noble et n'a pas été anoblie ; la création du patronyme Dignard, au XIXe siècle dans ce cas-ci, se doubla de l'apparition d'une famille sans histoire. Chez les Guignard, l'histoire est autre (famille déjà connue au IXe siècle en Europe), car certaines branches sont liées à de l'information héraldique. Quoi qu'il en soit, cela n'empêche en principe personne d'être beau et/ou riche et/ou intelligent ou tout à fait le contraire. Nous en sommes maintenant à l'ère de la mondialisation, et des familles unies par un patronyme commun tendent à se structurer à l'échelle mondiale.Le premier mariage de la série sur la famille Dignard et qui se trouve dans l'ouvrage des abbés Urgel Forget et Élie J. Auclair, paru en 1910, Histoire de Saint-Jacques d'Embrun, à savoir celui de Joseph Dignard à Marie Anna Beaudin, n'existe pas dans les faits (voir plus loin les photos des pages de l'ouvrage en cause) ; cette information est fausse.À ce sujet, voici des renseignements que j'ai tirés du
registre paroissial de Saint-Philippe (document signé par le curé Pigeon) :

F.-X Pigeon fut curé de Saint-Philippe de 1810 à 1838. Voici une anecdote que j'ai trouvée dans un ouvrage de Jean-Jacques Lefebvre, publié en 1947 : Saint-Constant et Saint-Philippe de Laprairie 1744-1946.

Voici de l'information de la notice de Michel Langlois, consacrée à Pierre Guignard (Dictionnaire biographique des ancêtres québécois, tome II, p. 412). Langlois y écrit que Pierre Guignard vint au Canada en 1671, engagé par la Séminaire de Québec. Il se serait en effet engagé le 04 06 1671 (à La Rochelle), devant le notaire Teuleron, envers Arnaud Peré à venir travailler durant trois ans pour Monseigneur de Laval au salaire de 72 livres par année. Ce même Langlois, dans le même article, nous dit que la famille Guignard était de la « paroisse de Chavagne, évêché de Luçon, au Poitou ».
